Distorted Sacredness

This audiovisual piece was created in collaboration for textile designer Magdalena Galarraga’s final project at Chelsea College of Arts. Magdalena´s work consisted on an immersive installation constructed with her textile prints.

The animation consists on two worlds merged together: on the one hand, 3D animation of flowers colliding together. On the other hand, distorted and processed footage of flowers blooming. The music chosen was Rosalia’s performance at the Premiios Goya in early 2019.

The following text was extracted from Magdalena’s personal website, in which you can also see the full project:
“For my final project at Chelsea College of Arts, I built a sacred room inspired by the prayer’s room in my Catholic high school. Instead of using religious imagery, I swapped it for Flowers, creating my new religion which this room was dedicated to.”
